Bulletin: Secret Santa Night - November 7th
Federation News
November Longhouse Meeting Monday, November 7

For the 18th consecutive year, the Federation will be participating in the LaGrange Community Nurses Association’s Secret Santa program. Since 1988 the programs mission has been to provide functional necessities for children in LaGrange and 15 surrounding communities whose parents have limited means of providing them. This is a great opportunity to share some “Holiday Spirit” with less fortunate children by adopting them for the Christmas season. It couldn’t be easier and you’ll have some fun with your tribe. Simply pick up a bag at the November Longhouse and schedule a shopping trip with your tribe. Inside the bag will be complete instructions with some information on the child and what they need for Christmas. The Christmas Presents that we provide range from warm clothes and school supplies to a few toys. Each adopted child represents $125 to $150 commitment. Last year we were able to help over 220 kids have a little brighter Christmas and this year we can do even better! If you would like to adopt a child for Christmas this year pick up a shopping bag at the November Longhouse.

Questions? Call or email Nation Chief Jeff Sides at 630-347-7319 or jasides@sbcglobal.net.

Bulletin: Annual Giving Tree Fundraising Effort
Federation News Each summer the Greater LaGrange YMCA hosts 10 weeks of summer camp.  About 30% of the kids in the program come from homes that cannot afford to pay for summer day care.  These are not kids from the inner city; these are kids from right here in our community! The Prairie Trail Federation is again sponsoring our annual Giving Tree program to raise money for this very worthwhile cause.   This is a great Civic Activity for your tribe and it will really make a lasting impact on our community.  Click on the link for more information on the Giving Tree and the YMCA’s summer camp program it supports.

Bulletin: WHERE'S MY EMAIL BLAST ? ? ?
Federation News
Recently, the PTF Web Weavers have been asked "Where's My Email Blast?".
We have decided there could be several reasons why you did not get a blast for an event or outing.
The most common are as follows:
  • Due to it being a "Bulk" mail program it may be in your Spam Folder - Adding the following email address to your address book will help alleviate this problem. yigp.announce-bounces@yigp.org (Do not send emails to this address as it is not monitored)
  • Do we have your correct email address? Just in case we have added a button on the left margin of our website to Subscribe, Un-subscribe or change your existing email address.  Please feel free to use the Email List Button subscribe yourself for future email blasts.
If you have any further questions regarding the web site please email web.weaver@yigp.org
If you have any questions about our program, please use the contacts tab located on the left margin of the site.
